DC53

Category:

Tool and Die Steel

DC53 steel boasts twice the toughness of SKD11, making it suitable for complex punching and drawing dies, with significantly improved resistance to cracking and chipping. Even after high-temperature tempering at 520-530°C, it still achieves a hardness of 61-63 HRC, reducing the risk of cracking accidents caused by residual stress in wire-cut machining dies. Suitable for surface hardening, it significantly extends the life of the mold. With high hardenability and wear resistance, and minimal dimensional change during quenching, it is a widely used cold-work die steel.

  • 1. Product Introduction: DC53 steel boasts twice the toughness of SKD11, making it suitable for complex punching and drawing dies, with significantly improved resistance to cracking and chipping. Even after high-temperature tempering at 520-530°C, it still achieves a hardness of 61-63 HRC, reducing the risk of cracking in wire-cut die processing due to residual stress. Suitable for surface hardening, it significantly extends the life of the die. With high hardenability and wear resistance, and minimal dimensional change during quenching, it is a widely used cold-work die steel.

    2. Main characteristics: anti-chipping, high wear resistance, good hardenability, and small dimensional change after heat treatment.
