  • Product Description
  • Cr12 is an alloy tool steel with good hardenability and good wear resistance. It is mainly used for cold stamping dies and punches, cold cutting shears, drill sleeves, gauges, wire drawing dies, stamping dies, thread rolling plates, drawing dies and thread rolling dies that require low impact loads and high wear resistance.

    characteristic

    1. Vacuum degassing and refining treatment to ensure pure steel.

    2. Spheroidizing annealing and softening treatment, good cutting performance.

    3. Special addition of strengthening elements vanadium and molybdenum, extremely excellent wear resistance.

    use

    1. Thin plates with a thickness not exceeding 2mm, high-efficiency blanking dies, punching dies and coining dies.

    2. Various scissors, inlay blades, woodworking blades.

    3. Thread rolling die and wear-resistant slider.

    4. Cold heading die, thermosetting resin forming die.

    5. Stretch forming die, cold extrusion die.

Scope of application: This is a widely used cold work die steel with high strength, good hardenability and good wear resistance, but poor impact toughness. It is mainly used for cold stamping dies and punches, cold cutting shears, drill bushings, gauges, wire drawing dies, stamping dies, thread rolling plates, drawing dies, and thread rolling dies that withstand small impact loads and require high wear resistance.

Cr12 die steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium, ledeburitic steel widely used in cold-working die applications. It exhibits excellent hardenability, wear resistance, and hot workability. Carbides are well-distributed throughout the steel, making it suitable for manufacturing a variety of cold-working dies with complex shapes and demanding working conditions. These include cold-stamping punches, thread rolling dies, wire drawing dies, stock molds, metallurgical powder molds, woodworking cutting tools, cold-cut shears, drill bushings, and gauges. During our development, through repeated exploration and experimentation, we developed a rational smelting process, specialized ingot molds, and forging techniques to achieve uniform material structure. Furthermore, we boldly innovated the processing of standard materials, employing a new double-knife chipping process, which significantly improved efficiency, shortened cycle times, and reduced costs.

Supply status: Annealed, hardness 269-271HBW, indentation diameter 3.7 ~4.1mm
